Goal Getter

Five-year-old Blake McMillin is already making a name for herself on the soccer field with teamwork, determination and plenty of fun.

Five-year-old Blake McMillin is a lifelong Oak Creek resident with soccer in her heart. Blake
plays on the Mighty Sparkles team, where she is often captain, making lots of very important
five-year-old decisions.

Blake began her soccer career at the age of two, and joined the Mighty Sparkles at four. She
looks up to her dad, with whom she likes to practice. Even though she’s only been at soccer for
three years, Blake’s star is rising; if you ask her about her favorite memory on the pitch, she’ll
say it’s when she scored an astounding 11 goals in one game. In her three years playing, she’s
learned the value of patience and teamwork, and credits Coach Brett Howlett and Jerrod
Odette for helping her learn those lessons.

In her free time, Blake loves the OC pool and her pre-K classes. In the future, she hopes to play
soccer at All Saints, but more than that, she wants to continue to have fun. Whether she’s
scoring tons of goals, practicing with her dad, or hanging out with the other Mighty Sparkles,
Blake McMillin always brings the fun.
