Held at the Oak Pointe Country Club Pool Parking Lot, the event brought together neighbors, friends, and car enthusiasts to enjoy a display of vehicles that ranged from vintage classics to sporty favorites and cutting-edge electric models.

The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, with residents strolling through rows of polished cars while chatting with owners and neighbors. Some proudly showcased their vehicles—from beloved classics to fun convertibles—while others came simply to admire the collection and share stories. Coffee cups in hand, attendees swapped memories of their first cars, favorite road trips, and the joy that comes with driving something special.

Among the standout vehicles was a 1958 Nash Metropolitan, recognized as the first sub-compact car in the United States. Oak Pointe community member Pam Desai shared the story of its journey:
“This is a 1958 Nash Metropolitan, recognized as the first sub-compact car in the United States. Designed as a family’s second vehicle, its primary purpose was to provide convenient transportation for trips to and from town. After searching for 25 years, we discovered this remarkable automobile in Indianapolis. It met every requirement we had envisioned—truly, it was the one.”
Pam went on to share how meaningful this event was for her family:
“As founding members of the Oak Pointe Country Club, we have enjoyed living in this beautiful community for 35 years, and we are delighted to participate in the inaugural Oak Pointe Country Club Car Show. Car shows offer wonderful opportunities to connect with fellow enthusiasts—whether you own a classic car or simply appreciate their beauty. This hobby brings people together to celebrate automotive history and craftsmanship.”

A highlight of the morning was the presence of Randy Wise Automotive, who generously sponsored the event and helped bring it to life. Their team showcased the brand-new GMC Sierra EV models, giving residents a chance to see the future of driving up close. The sleek design and advanced technology of these electric trucks captured the attention of many, sparking excitement about innovation and sustainability in the automotive world.
The support from Randy Wise Automotive was instrumental in making this first Community Car Show possible. Their commitment to both excellence and community was felt throughout the event, and the chance to explore the Sierra EV lineup added a unique dimension that set this gathering apart from a typical car meet.

But beyond the cars, what made the morning memorable was the sense of togetherness. Kids eagerly pointed out their favorite vehicles, families lingered to chat with neighbors, and longtime car enthusiasts found common ground with first-time attendees. The car show was as much about community connection as it was about horsepower, chrome, and innovation.

Events like these are what make our neighborhood so special. They provide opportunities to not only celebrate shared passions but also to strengthen the friendships that make Oak Pointe feel like home. The Community Car Show perfectly captured this spirit, offering a blend of nostalgia, inspiration, and camaraderie on a beautiful Sunday morning.
We are already excited to see how this tradition grows in the years to come. With more residents planning to showcase their vehicles in future shows, we anticipate an even larger lineup and more opportunities to celebrate the unique blend of history and innovation that cars represent.

Stroll Oak Pointe extends a heartfelt thank you to Randy Wise Automotive for sponsoring our first-ever Community Car Show and for sharing the beauty and excitement of the GMC Sierra EV models with us. With their support, we were able to launch a community tradition that combines fun, family, and the joy of coming together.

Next year’s community car show will double in size—see you then!
