As the founders and hosts of the “Welcome to Livingston” Podcast we have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people in Livingston County.  From local entrepreneurs to non-profits, and from the organizers of some of our annual festivals to students starring in a middle or high school production, this county and its residents never fail to amaze us with their enthusiasm, dedication, and talent. With over 180 episodes and counting there is always something new to talk about.

This month is no exception as we had the opportunity to sit down with the owners and creators of Blossom and Bloom Box. Founded on the idea “that even the smallest gesture can mean everything”, this home-grown business thoughtfully creates gift boxes for every occasion. Owners, Michelle Forcier (an Oak Pointe resident) and Lisa Zienleniewski, grew their business one box at a time offering a personal touch that says every moment can become a celebration. 

Listen in to episode 178 to learn how they started, what they offer, and how to deliver a little extra joy to someone in your life. It is amazing to see how one idea can turn into something unexpected as we learned how Michelle and Lisa turned positivity workshops they were providing to our youth into motivational workbook boxes, which in turn evolved into beautifully created gift boxes. We were touched by their dedication to making sure each and every box is personal and customized. From curated and hand-picked items, to thoughtful cards and personally dropping off the box at the recipient’s home, these two women go the extra mile for every client. If you have antagonized over what to add to a gift box or struggled to figure out the best way to ship it until you somehow missed the chance to get it there on time, this is an episode that will give you new ways to say, “I’m thinking of you” and leave you wondering who you should send that first box to. 

On another recent episode we sat down to highlight the many community pools in Livingston County.  From birthday parties to lap swimming, swimming lessons to water aerobics, and underwater Easter egg hunts to lazy rivers; Livingston County has an indoor pool for everyone.  Tune in to this episode to hear about the many options residents have and how each pool is unique in its own way.
