How often do we think about personal hygiene and how our toilet can affect our lifestyle and overall quality of life?  Recently we had the unique opportunity to sit down with the owner and founder of Many Bidets, Daniel Johnson, to chat about his company and the many benefits of a bidet.  One thing is for certain; it was an entertaining and informative episode with a few surprises and we wanted to share what we learned with you, our neighbors. 

You may not be aware of it, but Many Bidets has one of the largest bidet showrooms in North America and it is right here in Livingston County. If you have traveled across the pond to Europe you have probably encountered a bidet as they are quite common, yet here in the United States they are still considered an upgrade to the normal bathroom setup.  

During our chat we learned that bidets are not only a health conscious choice, but are better for the environment and long term your pocketbook as well. They offer relief for a number of personal issues and if you have a septic system; eliminate the large amounts of toilet paper potentially taxing your septic field. 

Touring the showroom on Kensington Road we viewed a number of full bidets as well as many bidet attachments that you can use on your existing toilet.  We also had the chance to see the world’s most expensive toilet, second to price with only the one on the international space station. If you visit their showroom you can try out several different bidet’s including a $26,000 toilet which is self-cleaning, has a UV light to disinfect the water, and has more options than some cars.

Talking with Daniel, we were shocked that people travel from all over the world just to come to his showroom and we were touched by his genuine and caring dedication to his business and his customers.  Bidets and their benefits can sometimes be an uncomfortable subject and Daniel was able to share his personal journey and how using one has positively affected his life. Other topics included how affordable they can be, what is needed to hook one up, and even the fact that you can purchase a travel bidet.
