Newlyweds De Jongs

Celebrating the Start of Their Forever

Dylan and Meghan De Jong are the kind of couple who make you feel like you’ve known them forever. These two newlyweds are diving into married life with lots of love, laughter, and their 'stay at home dog,' Casper. Let’s get to know the De Jongs a little bit better…

From Traxx to "I Do"
Their love story started off at Traxx Bar and Grill, where a game of ring toss led to sparks flying. "There was just something about her," Dylan says. It didn’t take long for them to hit it off, and after a few of Meghan’s international trips early in their relationship, Dylan realized how much he missed her every time she was away. "It became evident how important she was to me each time she traveled," he recalls.

Popping the Question
Dylan’s big moment came at Donner Lake, where he proposed in a way that totally caught Meghan off guard. "She didn’t see it coming at all," he says. The two tied the knot on October 5th, 2024, at Olympia’s Valley Estate, surrounded by family and friends. One of the highlights? A photo booth that brought out everyone’s silly side. "Our guests had a lot of fun with it!" Meghan shares.

The First Dance
The couple shared their first dance to "10-90" by Muscadine Bloodline. "It really encompasses our relationship as a whole and the importance of showing up for each other and going the extra mile," Dylan explains. The song added a deeply personal touch to their special day.

Married Life: The Firsts
As they settle into life as Mr. and Mrs., Newlyweds Dylan and Meghan, he an estimator for Gianola Canvas Products and she an ICU nurse at Novato Community Hospital, are soaking up all the "firsts." Their first holiday season as a married couple was especially memorable, filled with family time and meeting their new niece for the very first time. From cooking dinner together to cozy nights in, Dylan and Meghan are finding joy in the simple moments of married life.

Local Favorites
When they're not working or spending time with Casper, Dylan and Meghan enjoy a good happy hour at Seared or grabbing wings at Taps for Wing Wednesday. They also like to stay active and are regulars at Luma Fitness. One of their favorite things about their neighborhood? "The friendly, family-focused vibe. It’s such a great place to call home," they say.

Wedding Wisdom
Planning a wedding can be stressful, but these two kept their cool. Their advice? "Enjoy the process and don’t sweat the small stuff." They focused on what really matters: celebrating their love with the people they cared about most.

A Tale as Old as Time
If their relationship were a movie, it would be "Beauty and the Beast" – a nod to their playful dynamic and the obvious love they share. They're clearly writing their own happily-ever-after story.

What’s Next?
For now, these newlyweds are focused on making more memories together, whether that’s exploring their favorite local spots, traveling, or relaxing at home with Casper. Here’s to Dylan and Meghan—the couple who prove that sometimes all it takes is a game of ring toss to find your forever.
