Seasons of Love
Love is all around us in quiet, everyday ways. This February we celebrate the gestures, the words, and the moments that remind us how deeply we are connected to one another.
Every February, I’m reminded that love isn’t just a feeling, but it’s a practice. Not the grand, cinematic kind, but the simple, steady ways we show up for the people around us. A quick check-in text. A conversation that runs longer than you planned. A neighbor helping with something small because they happened to notice you needed it. These everyday gestures often speak louder than big moments. They remind us that connection is something we build, almost quietly, in the middle of our normal routines. Sometimes it is a challenge in the busy and in many cases, structured lives we lead to leave space to do these small things. I am reminded to intentionally leave space for those people that I value.
As you read through this month’s issue of Stroll Oakmont Estates, I hope you notice the same thing I do: the heart of Oakmont beats in the people who call it home. In the stories of neighbors sharing photos, stories and family. In the friendships that form unexpectedly. In the pride we share for this place and the people who make it feel like more than a location. It’s a living, breathing network of love.
I also want to take a moment to thank the advertisers who make this publication possible. Their support allows us to tell the stories of our neighborhood and highlight the faces and families who make Oakmont special. If you have the opportunity, I hope you’ll support them as well.
Here’s to celebrating love this month, whether it’s romantic, brotherly, friendly, or simply neighborly.
