Holy Crap Pet Waste Removal
Pet waste! It might not be one of our favorite subjects, but it is one of life’s universals. Both
parents and pet owners know this—and we have plenty of both in the neighborhood! In this
issue we don’t have much help for the parents but we can offer something for the pet owners
of Oakmont Estates. Let us introduce you to Holy Crap Pet Waste Removal, a company that
make it a little easier to clean up after your fur baby or four legged friend.
Founded and operated by Kris Tryon, Holy Crap has a simple but important mission: helping
yards, community spaces, and other facilities stay clean and user-friendly by removing pet
waste in a timely and effective manner. This sounds easy, but Kris points out that there’s a lot
more to it than we might think: “As simple as this service is, I believe the professionalism and
multiple services we offer set us apart. This company will be more than just a person and a
scooper. We offer full cleaning services but we make sure to disinfect all our equipment
between services and bag the waste so it doesn't stink up you dumpster or bins . . . We
provide text messages that notify you when we are heading your way and we record and
send photos of the shut and secured gate when we finish. We also can provide, disinfectant
sprays that minimize harmful bacteria in your yard, as well as, deodorizer spray if you desire
those services.” The goal for Kris is to provide maximum value and the best quality service for
each customer while also keeping outdoor spaces clean and tidy for both people and pets.
In our conversation with Kris we learned a lot more about poop. A surprisingly complex
subject, we were a little surprised to discover that pet waste is far more than just an aesthetic
issue. Kris introduced us to the health and safety issues that come along with unmitigated pet
waste issues: “ . . . I would say most people aren't aware of how harmful the build of pet
waste can be to not only your yard but your health and the health of your pets and family. I
think the assumption is that it breaks down naturally and goes into the soil but that just isn't
true with pet waste. It can destroy grass and plants–and host harmful bacteria–even diseases
that can make your pet and family sick. It is just safer to have it cleaned regularly to minimize
risk and take care of your lawn.”
We had to ask about the name, and as you might expect there’s a great story behind it. Kris
serves as a minister at Raintree Christian Church, and initially founded Holy Crap with Brady
Pickett, a fellow minister in the same congregation: “We thought the name was a hilarious and
fun way to incorporate the unusual fact that a couple of ministers offered this type of service.
Brady has since stepped away from the scooping business but we still work together at
Raintree. Now I am focusing on growing Holy Crap into a larger company that serve Lubbock
and the surrounding communities.” Holy Crap still strives to lead with its values and stay true
to its roots: “We don't take ourselves too seriously and we try to be peaceful advocates of
Christ in all we do. This is also the cornerstone of my business. I do my best to honor and
love God with all my heart and love my neighbor too. This is the foundation of my business
and all my business practices and decisions funnel through that faith perspective.”
With convenient online scheduling, Holy Crap is the kind of family owned business we love to
support. Kris offers a service many of us need but that we may not know is available. If your
pet and your yard are important to you, get in touch with Holy Crap Pet Waste Removal and
let them take over your pet cleanup needs.
