For Brent and Leah Jameson, life has been filled with incredible adventures, but home has always been where family comes first. After spending their first 14 years of marriage in Santa Fe, New Mexico, followed by time in Mesa, Arizona, and even living abroad in Dubai before returning to the United States in 2015, they've happily called Oakmont home since October 2021.

Their story began with a blind date arranged by Leah's college roommate—and as they like to say, it was love at first sight. Today, Brent is a real estate investor and owner of a local property management company, while Leah serves as an instructional coach with Frenship ISD.

Their greatest joy is watching their family thrive. Son Tanner and his wife, Rachel, both pilots, live in Phoenix, Arizona. Daughter Tayler, a clinical dietitian at UMC, and her husband, Ty, a CPA with BSGM and former Texas Tech athlete, have given Brent and Leah a treasured new role as grandparents to 20-month-old Emerson. The family enjoys worshipping together at Redeemer whenever possible and makes it a priority to take a family vacation at least every other year.

The Jamesons are enthusiastic entertainers who love opening their home to friends, neighbors, and community groups. They've hosted everything from mission and ministry fundraisers to political candidate gatherings and even the High Plains Wine & Food Foundation Kitchen Crawl. Brent enjoys golfing at Lubbock Country Club, Leah has recently discovered a love for mahjong nights, and together they stay active with workouts, neighborhood walks, and cheering on the Red Raiders. As Texas Tech season ticket holders, they rarely miss a game and especially enjoy traveling for marquee matchups—particularly when Arizona State, where Tanner, Rachel, and many family friends attended college, is on the schedule.

Travel has become one of the family's greatest passions. They've explored 18 European countries along with destinations across Africa and the Middle East. One recent highlight was celebrating Tanner and Rachel's wedding in Greece before continuing on a family adventure through Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, and several Greek islands—with little Emerson joining the fun. They also cherish annual trips to Napa each fall, springtime visits to Hawaii, and unforgettable experiences like cruising the Rhine River through Europe's Christmas markets from Amsterdam to Zurich. Next on their travel bucket list? Making magical memories with Emerson at Disney World.

Closer to home, some of their favorite moments are also the simplest. Early morning coffee walks through Oakmont give them a chance to catch up with neighbors, meet new friends, and enjoy the strong sense of community that made them feel at home from the very beginning. For the Jamesons, no matter where their passports have taken them, it's the relationships they've built—both near and far—that make every journey worthwhile.
