Baby Kitty, Forever and Always
When the family couldn’t agree on a name for their quirky new cat, “Baby Kitty” somehow became permanent — and now they can’t imagine life without their strange, independent, wall-bonking little sweetheart.
Some cats arrive with elegance and grace. Baby Kitty arrived with chaos, confusion, and a possible concussion.
When this lovable feline first joined the family, the kids immediately began debating what to name her. Suggestions flew around the house — “Orange Chicken” had supporters, “Starburst” had fans, and some family members rejected both options entirely. Eventually, everyone just started referring to her as “Baby Kitty,” and somehow, despite all the brainstorming, that’s the name that stuck.
And honestly? Nothing else would fit her quite as perfectly.
Baby Kitty is unlike any cat the family has ever owned. For starters, she’s the only one who isn’t orange, instantly making her stand out from the rest of the furry crew. But it’s her delightfully odd personality that truly makes her unforgettable.
“She’s very strange,” the family admits lovingly.
Sometimes Baby Kitty will attempt an ambitious leap onto the counter… only to completely miss, smack directly into the wall, and tumble dramatically to the floor. The family jokes that she may have something going on with her eyesight — or maybe she’s simply operating on a different wavelength entirely. Either way, her clumsy antics are equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking.
Despite her quirks, Baby Kitty has firmly secured her place in everyone’s hearts.
Unlike the cuddly cats many people imagine, Baby Kitty is not a fan of being picked up and prefers affection strictly on her own terms. Snuggles are rare and carefully scheduled according to her mood, thank you very much. But every once in a while, she decides the family is worthy of her affection, curls up nearby, and reminds everyone just how special she is.
“She’s the least affectionate cat we’ve ever had,” they say, “but we love her very much and are glad she’s a part of the family.”
And really, that’s the magic of pets like Baby Kitty. They may not be perfect, graceful, or even particularly coordinated — but somehow their weird little habits become the very things that make them impossible not to adore.
