Student-Led Service Takes Root at Wheatley

Inside the Mission of SuperiorS.org

At The Wheatley School, student leadership often reveals itself in clubs, teams, and classroom initiatives. But every so often, students step up to build something entirely new. That’s exactly what happened when juniors Julian Ostrow and Liel Agajan founded SuperiorS.org, a service-focused group that has since grown into a fully recognized school club dedicated to fundraising, volunteering, and community education.

What began as a small project in June quickly transformed into a movement. SuperiorS is built on a simple but powerful belief: when young people come together with purpose, they can make a meaningful impact. Under Julian and Liel’s leadership, the group has already raised more than $8,000 for causes ranging from educational access to community support services.

SuperiorS is one of several community-focused efforts Liel leads, alongside The Lift Initiative, a program he created to provide academic support to underprivileged students. But SuperiorS stands out because of its scale and its connection to the school community. The club hosts charity events, leads volunteering efforts, and develops educational campaigns that bring Wheatley students together around a shared mission of service.

In the future, Julian and Liel hope the club will continue to grow at Wheatley while expanding its impact beyond school walls. SuperiorS is more than a club; it’s a model for student-driven change. And for other young leaders hoping to follow a similar path, the boys offers a reminder rooted in humility and purpose: help people even when no one is watching, stay kind, stay aware, and take your education seriously - because it’s the strongest foundation you can give yourself.
