Meet Lileigh!

A local South Walton High School standout turns passion into performance while chasing the dream of playing soccer at the next level.

  1. When did you first start playing soccer, and what made you fall in love with the game?  I started playing soccer at four years old and I instantly fell in love with it because of the energy and joy it brought me.

  2. Who has had the biggest impact on your soccer journey so far?  The people who have had the greatest impact on my soccer journey are my parents. Their constant support has made everything possible, giving me the opportunity to travel and compete in places I wouldn’t have been able to reach on my own.

  3. What has been your most memorable moment on the field, and why does it stand out to you? My most memorable moment was scoring the game-winning goal that sent our high school team to the state championship last year. It was a huge boost to my confidence, and the experience of helping my team reach that stage was truly unforgettable.

  4. What challenges have you faced as a student athlete, and how have you worked to overcome them?  My biggest challenge is balancing school and soccer. It’s stressful having to preform well in both and I’ve managed it by staying organized and focused.

  5. What are your goals for the future — both in soccer and beyond high school? My goal is to find a college where I can continue playing soccer in an environment I truly enjoy. The sport has always been a central part of my life, and I can’t imagine stepping away from it anytime soon. I’m driven to keep growing as a player and to pursue every opportunity that allows me to stay on the field for as long as possible.
