They're Back....

Resident Photographer Bonnie Turetsky takes us on a tour of the new Seward statues in Ormond Beach.

The Ormond Beach Arts District, which raised more than $50,000 from local sponsors to
bring the extremely realistic, full-size bronze statues to Ormond Beach last year for six
months, has done it again. This time, they brought 12 sculptures to our quaint town
from Sewell Johnson’s “Art Imitates Life II” collection.

The sculptures arrived in January 2026 and have been placed in both public and private properties along the Granada Boulevard corridor from A1A to Lewis Street. They will be here for 6 months.

Johnson was born in New Jersey in 1930 and died in 2020. His sculptures have been
displayed in public spaces around the world, and are also included in numerous private
and public collections and museums.

Please make sure to visit all 12 sculptures while they are here. The map can be found
on The Arts District website at ormondarts.com/sculptures. Each sculpture will have signage and a QR code to provide more information about each sculpture and the
sponsor for that particular sculpture.

Docent tours are upcoming during Ormond’s art walk events, held on the first Saturday
of each month.
