Remember Bella from last month's issue, now let's meet her sister! Izzie is a nine year old Lab Retriever. She was originally supposed to be a foster, but the McCormick family ended up loving her and couldn’t give her up. Izzie is quite an energetic pup and has a large personality. When the family first got her, she had a thing for biting and playing a bit too hard. With the right care, good nutrition and care for her fur, she quickly became a beautiful black lab.

Izzie enjoys a human’s attention much more than a dogs. She has 3 siblings and doesn’t play with any of them, but as soon as a person walks in the house, she is all over them! She thinks everybody is there to play with her and barks at anyone who isn’t giving her attention. Izzie has earned the nickname, “Kitty Dog,” as she loves to rub up against people like a cat. Despite her acting like a cat, she is definitely the alpha dog around the house. All the other dogs wait until she finishes eating before looking to see if she left anything. Knowing Izzie, nothing is left!

Friendliness is another trait that can describe Izzie. She is always trying to say hi to new people and dogs, especially on her walks. One of her favorite parts of the day. She is such a joy and although she has gotten calmer, her spark never fades.
