The Kiley Family: A Global Perspective Rooted in Community

Since moving to Starwood in 2010, the Kiley family has embraced everything their Frisco neighborhood has to offer, blending international roots, diverse passions, and a shared commitment to community involvement. Sean and Natalya Kiley, along with their sons Evan and Daniel, exemplify a modern family grounded in tradition but driven by exploration.

Sean Kiley, 50, is a seasoned tax professional and Principal at Ryan, LLC, where he has worked since graduating from Texas A&M University in 1996 with a BBA in Accounting. His career focuses on tax services for the oil and gas industry, and his downtime is filled with golf, hiking, and travel. Natalya Kiley, 47, originally from Russia, came to the United States on a student visa to pursue her education. She holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master’s in Accounting from UT Dallas. Today, she works as a Supervisory Senior at HM&M, providing federal tax services to a diverse client base.
Natalya is passionate about yoga, environmental causes, and Vedic Astrology.

The couple met in a classic Texas setting, on a blind date at Chili’s arranged by Sean’s sister-in-law and have been building a vibrant life together ever since.

Their sons reflect the family’s intellectual curiosity and active lifestyle. Evan, 18, is a recent graduate of Frisco High School and will be attending the University of Virginia to study engineering. Evan was heavily involved in the high school band, playing snare drum in the percussion section. He also interned with the Parks and Recreation Department in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and assisted with a biodome project at Colorado Mountain College, channeling his love for environmental science into hands-on experience.
Daniel, 15, attends Shelton School and is learning to drive. A competitive tennis player, Daniel has been a member of Shelton’s varsity tennis team since his freshman year. Beyond sports, he is fascinated by cars, enjoys football and fishing, and is an active participant in church youth group activities. He was born in Moscow.

The family shares their home with Allie, a white terrier they rescued five years ago. Though Allie has a complicated personality, likely a result of a rough start in life, she remains a beloved part of their household and a daily companion on walks through the neighborhood trails.

In addition to their professional and academic accomplishments, the Kiley’s each bring unique interests to the family dynamic. Natalya’s study of Vedic Astrology adds a spiritual and cultural depth, while Sean and Daniel share a love for cooking and grilling. Evan enjoys gaming and socializing with friends, creating a well-rounded blend of energy and introspection in the household.

Holidays and special occasions are often marked by travel and cultural experiences. Summers frequently include international trips focused on museums, culinary tours, and educational experiences. Thanksgiving week is often spent in Colorado, while the family traditionally meets Natalya’s relatives, who face travel restrictions, somewhere in Europe shortly after Christmas. These trips provide a vital link to extended family and cultural heritage.

Locally, the Kiley’s enjoy the arts and heritage offerings around Frisco. They’re regulars at the Blackbox Theatre and the Plano Farmstead Heritage Museum, where Daniel once served as a camp counselor. The family actively supports Frisco’s Parks and Recreation programs, participating in clean-up initiatives and community planting events like “seed stomps.”

One of their favorite neighborhood traditions is the annual Christmas Progressive Dinner in Stewart’s Crossing. The Kiley’s love hosting the dessert stop, which often becomes the liveliest part of the night, filled with laughter and neighbors lingering late into the evening. This tradition perfectly encapsulates their favorite aspect of living in Starwood: a welcoming, engaged community paired with outstanding amenities like walking trails, tennis courts, and a fitness center, resources the family uses multiple times each week.

Beyond neighborhood fun, the Kiley’s are strong advocates for giving back. They support the Boys & Girls Club of Collin County and are active members of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship. Their charitable involvement aligns with their core values of service, family, and faith.

Whether it's walking Allie along the trails, volunteering in city-wide cleanups, or gathering with neighbors over holiday desserts, the Kiley family has found the perfect balance of connection and growth in Starwood—a neighborhood that feels like home while embracing the world beyond.
