Love Is All Around
Love is more than a feeling — it’s a gift we give and receive and one that leaves us better, stronger and happier.

Whenever I think about love, my mind drifts to the opening scene of the super-nostalgic holiday film Love Actually. In that unforgettable montage, travelers and loved ones reunite at the airport, their faces lit with joy, their embraces unguarded and heartfelt. It’s a simple, universal reminder that love — in all its forms — is all around us, connecting us to something bigger than ourselves.
And it turns out, love isn’t just good for the soul; it’s good for the body, too. Research shows meaningful relationships can enhance physical health, from lowering blood pressure to strengthening the immune system. Feeling loved and supported helps reduce stress, improve emotional resilience, and even speed up healing after illness or injury. Whether it’s the unconditional love of family, a warm moment shared with a pet, the steady support of friends, or a fiery romance that sets your heart racing, we can’t deny that love anchors us and helps us thrive.
This issue is an ode to the many ways love enriches our lives. You’ll find stories of Stroll Our Community residents whose generosity inspires connection and plenty of ways to express care — big and small.
As we lean into the season of love, may this month bring moments that warm your heart, lift your spirits and remind you of the people who matter most. Thank you for making us part of your February — a month where every day can feel like the airport scene from Love Actually.
Here’s to more love, more joy and more care, everywhere.
Warm regards,
