Introducing Sophia! Sophia is a junior at Frisco High School, and she is a passionate volleyball player!

 

Sophia plays volleyball for the Frisco High School team, and she has been playing since third grade. She plays right side, or opposite hitter, which is the most versatile role in the sport! One thing that she loves about playing volleyball is the opportunity that she gets to play alongside her teammates who are now some of her best friends. She appreciates their support in everything that she does, especially in her highest moments.

 

Her proudest moment playing volleyball was when her team won first place in the bronze bracket at a tournament during her freshman year. She thanks her coach and her team for all of their support and knows that she could not have done it without them.

 

Sophia’s biggest inspiration in volleyball is her mom, who coached Sophia’s very first volleyball team when she was in elementary school. Sophia admires her hard work and how supportive she has been at all of her games and practices for all of these years.

 

Some advice that Sophia has for people wanting to get into playing volleyball is to always be yourself, and to make yourself known on the court by being loud and open. When she is older, Sophia hopes to play in college and eventually go pro.

 

In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with family and friends, traveling, and going to country concerts!

 

With her talent, determination, and the support of her coaches and teammates, Sophia is well on her way to achieving her goals and leaving her mark on the sport she loves!
