LoneStar Home Watch
In North Texas, homes don’t take a break when you travel. Weather shifts fast, small leaks turn into big repairs overnight, and insurance requirements can change once a property sits unattended. That’s exactly why LoneStar Home Watch exists—to give homeowners real peace of mind through professional, in-home monitoring and rapid response when it matters most. We see what your security system misses.
Owned by Scott and Rebecca Nietert, LoneStar Home Watch was built on deep operational experience and a simple philosophy: treat every client like family.
Scott’s career has taken him across the globe—from living in Oslo, Norway during his teenage years to serving in the U.S. Air Force in Osan, Korea. A graduate of Plano Senior High School and the University of Texas at Dallas, Scott went on to become a Chief Financial Officer for large automotive organizations, managing up to 28 stores across five states. That background shows up in the details: systems, consistency, and a meticulous approach to protecting high-value homes.
Originally from Chicago, Rebecca brings a diverse professional background in retail, hospitality, and real estate. Her 15+ years in real estate include managing home schedules, walking alongside engineers and inspectors, coordinating buyers and sellers, and working with subcontractors and trades to close transactions successfully. She’s also a published author and the founder of two writing networks—Lone Star Writing Club and Bayou Writers Club. When she’s not working, she enjoys time with her two Brittany pups, Remi and Dakota, plus outdoor adventures like fishing and skiing.
The inspiration behind LoneStar Home Watch is personal. During Dallas’s “Snomageddon,” the Nieterts were away from one of their properties for more than 30 days when a pipe burst beneath the home—out of sight, and beyond what a neighbor’s exterior check could catch. The damage was extensive, and the insurance experience revealed a critical reality: once a home is left unattended long enough, coverage can shift based on occupancy status. That moment made the mission clear—homeowners need a trusted professional who can enter the home, document conditions, catch problems early, and respond immediately.
Today, LoneStar Home Watch provides scheduled interior and exterior inspections for unoccupied homes, delivering detailed digital reports with photos after every visit. They monitor for leaks, HVAC or electrical issues, storm damage, pests, and security concerns—then notify clients right away if something needs attention. They also serve as a trusted keyholder and concierge, meeting vendors, coordinating repairs, and providing 24/7 emergency response. We visit to receive packages or put away trashcans.
What sets LoneStar Home Watch apart is credibility and consistency. They are certified and accredited through the National Home Watch Association, bonded and insured, maintain an A+ BBB rating, and earn five-star client feedback for being thorough, responsive, and proactive.
