The Palos Lions Club sponsors two Leo Clubs for youth between 12 and 18 years old at

Chicago Christian High School and through the Leo Club of Palos. Through the Leo Clubs,

young people develop and practice leadership and organizational skills through participation in

Leo Club activities and service projects. The motto of the Leo Club is “Leadership, Experience,

Opportunity.” Each of the Leo Clubs currently has about 35 student members. The Leo Club of

Palos is supervised by Gina Nariso and the faculty advisor for the Chicago Christian High School Leo Club is Phil Stanton.

The two Leo Clubs sponsored by the Palos Lions Club engage in numerous civic and

charitable endeavors. They support local shelters, food drives, toy drives, cosmetic drives for

those in need, and senior citizen activities at local nursing homes. It is truly inspiring to see so

many of our local young people willing to volunteer their time and talents for the greater good of
