What prompted you to start your own business?
I grew up working in a family business. I am the son of a Greek immigrant, and the entrepreneurial spirit that my dad came to America with was passed down to me. I truly love owning my own firm and being able to help people with their real estate and business transactions.

Describe what your company does:
I represent buyers and sellers of residential and commercial real estate through the closing of their transactions. I also assist people in forming, buying, and selling businesses in both Illinois and Indiana. My firm is focused on providing great customer service. I make it a point to be available to my clients and to give them exceptional service, regardless of the size of the deal.

Given your business expertise and the nature of what you do, what advice can you offer to the residents of your neighborhood?
I can offer a lot to the residents of Palos Park. Namely, I can help them buy and sell real estate and businesses in the area. I can also assist them in determining how much they would net from the sale of their property if they chose to sell.

How did you decide on this industry?
I have always had a passion for sales. During my college years, I had an eBay store and worked at my family’s optical business in Indiana, selling glasses. When I was considering areas of law to explore, real estate seemed to make sense because it is a sales-driven industry.

At the beginning of my career, I worked as both a real estate attorney and a real estate agent, which allowed me to view transactions from two different perspectives.

After a couple of years of doing both, I became too busy and had to choose one. I chose the legal side of real estate because I found it more rewarding, and, to be honest, I am a much better attorney than I am a real estate agent.

I am truly grateful that I handled real estate transactions as both an agent and an attorney, as I believe it gives me an edge over other real estate attorneys.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Dyer, Indiana. My dad is a Greek immigrant who came to the U.S. when he was 11 years old. He and my mom worked extremely hard to build successful careers and a great life here in America, and they instilled many valuable qualities in me and my two sisters. My sisters have given me five wonderful nieces and nephews whom I adore (even when they don’t like me back). Family is a cornerstone of my life, and we are all still very close to this day.

What are your hobbies/interests?
I love walking and going to the gym, and I make it a point to stay committed to my health and fitness. When I’m not at the gym, I enjoy exploring new restaurants and cuisines. I also love to travel and experience new cultures. I’ve always enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. Growing up, I used to tag along with my cousins whenever their family went on fishing or camping trips.
