6th: Family Nature & Wellness Fest 
Explore, move & thrive together at the Family Nature + Wellness Fest - a morning of outdoor adventure and connection for the whole family!
Kick off with a family-friendly guided hike, then choose your own adventure from a variety of movement and mindfulness workshops, nature connection programs, and drop-in activities. Connect with 15+ local artisans, vendors, and community exhibitors in our Nature + Wellness Market. Then wrap up the morning with live nature-inspired music and picnic time, as we celebrate the beauty around us at Lake Katherine Nature Center.

The Family Outdoor Adventure Club presents this event in partnership with Building Bright Futures, The Do Good Movement, and Gateway Presents.
The inaugural Family Nature + Wellness Fest will be at Lake Katherine Nature Center in Palos Heights on Saturday, June 6, from 9 am to 12 pm. You won't want to miss this morning of outdoor adventure, wellness, and connection for the whole family! Tickets are just $39 for the whole family (6 members) through the day of the event. 
*Day of the event is $45 + $25 drop-Off Programs for ages 10-16.

6th: Community Book Swap
Bring in your gently used books and leave with some new-to-you books! Books can be of any genre & reading level. Presented in partnership with local libraries. In conjunction with The Forest Preserves of Cook County.

 Place:  Swallow Cliff-North, Calumet Sag Rd, West of LaGrange Rd, Palos Park

8th - 26th: Session 1 Kid Zone Summer Camps for Kids  
Kids Zone is the place to be this summer for children ages 5 to 12! Highly trained and experienced staff will lead campers through a well-rounded program that offers something for everyone. Give your child a summer filled with adventure, creativity, and unforgettable memories! 
  • Sports – Stay active, develop new skills, and enjoy friendly competition.
  • Team Building – Grow your camper’s social skills through fun challenges and group activities.
  • Arts & Crafts – Explore creativity with hands-on projects.
  • Water Activities – Stay cool and have fun with splash-filled adventures.
  • Special Guests – We already have amazing guests booked for most weeks, and we’re still booking more, so there’s always something new to look forward to!
  • Traditional Camp Activities – Tie-dye, classic camp games, and all the summer fun you remember!
At the camp, kids get the perfect mix of structured activities and classic summer fun. Whether they love sports, art, or just making new friends, they’ll find something to love here!

18th: Concert in the Park (Kick off to the Summer Concert series)
Help us kick off our Summer Concert Series with Concert in The Park! In partnership with Palos Fine Arts, this is a free concert event, so bring out your lawn chairs and enjoy some live music. Featuring in June: Doug Horne & The Rhythm Makers
 Date: Thursday, June 18th
 Time: Grounds open at 6 pm with music from 7 pm-9 pm

26th: Community Paddle
Drop in and experience a guided paddle tour on a voyager canoe. Register onsite.  Presented in partnership with local libraries. In conjunction with The Forest Preserves of Cook County.
 Date: June 26th, 10 am - 12 pm
 Place: Saganashkee Slough Boat Launch, 107th St, west of S Willow Springs Rd/104th Ave
