Ashley Sayler of CASK Southern Kitchen & Bar and International Catering
Some neighbors build careers. Ashley Sayler built community.
A Louisville native who grew up in St. Matthews, Ashley followed a calling that was about more than food. She wanted flexibility, independence, and the chance to create something meaningful right here at home. Seven years ago, she opened CASK Southern Kitchen & Bar, and two years ago expanded with International Catering LLC. Today, her two companies employ more than 250 people each year.
CASK is a locally owned restaurant focused on fresh, from scratch, high quality meals served with genuine hospitality. It is a welcoming space designed to bring people together around thoughtfully prepared dishes.
International Catering takes that same heart for hospitality on the road, specializing in large scale events, private gatherings, corporate functions, and weddings. Ashley and her team have served at major events including Bourbon and Beyond, Louder Than Life, the Kentucky State Fair, Thurby, the Kentucky Oaks, and the Kentucky Derby. Whether feeding festival crowds or hosting refined celebrations, consistency and quality remain the standard.
Since opening CASK in 2020, Ashley has given back tens of thousands of dollars to local charities. Supporting the community is not an afterthought. It is part of the mission.
At home on Persimmon Ridge Drive, Ashley and her husband Travis, a licensed engineer and graduate of the J. B. Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville, are raising four young children. Colin, twins London and Phoenix, and Pierce Joseph keep life joyful and busy.
Her advice to neighbors is simple. Support local. Build relationships. Show up prepared. Take pride in your work. Invest back into your community. Your network truly is your net worth.
For Ashley, success is not just measured in events served or meals plated. It is measured in impact, connection, and the family that inspires it all.
