The Bhasin Family

In 2020, on the first day of the COVID Pandemic lockdown, the Bhasin’s and their 45-day newborn moved into Phillips Creek Ranch. Raveen recalled, “we didn’t know whether the movers would show up until they did. Thankfully movers were considered essential workers.” The Bhasin’s have made PCR home ever since.
Raveen was born in New Delhi, India. He moved with his parents to the Middle East shortly after. “I spent the majority of my formative years in Muscat, Oman and then eventually moved back to New Delhi.” After high school, Raveen moved to North Texas to attend Texas Christian University (TCU). He considers himself an honorary Texan as he has been here for over 20 years!
Raveen’s wife, Amrita, has a similar path from India to the United States. Amrita was also born in India and went to school in Bengaluru, India where she obtained her MBA. She moved to many different places during her career, starting in Milwaukee with General Electric, New York with MetLife, and New England for State Street Corp. It was Boston, MA was where Raveen and Amrita, met.
This year, 2025, will mark their 5th year in PCR. Amrita and Raveen’s 45-day old infant is now a nearly 5-year-old Meher and new baby Shlok is 12 months! The household is full of love as they also have grandparents, Anil Bhasin (dad, 73), Sushma Bhasin (mom, 71) and Ella, their super cute Boston Terrier. Anil and Sushma help out with the kids, which is a big benefit for Raveen and Amrita. “With two little ones we don't have a lot of time but whatever little time we are able to steal away after putting Meher and Shlok to bed is spent socializing with friends, hosting board game socials, and catching up on the series everyone else binged on 2 years ago.”
As a young family, creating traditions that they can pass on to the children are important. One tradition they hold dearly is running the field prior to football games in Fort Worth. The family also likes to make homemade ice cream in Grandma’s 40-year-old Italian ice cream maker. Some of their favorite places to eat are Lucia, Goldees BBQ, Kinzo, and Don Artemio.
The Bhasin’s favorite place to vacation is Spain. When at home, they are busy trying new recipes, going on adventures, such as driving to Lexington, Texas, to try a new BBQ restaurant they saw on TV, rooting for the TCU Horned Frogs and Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team. The kids love the “Baby Shark” song while the parents would rather listen to Top 40 music or modern jazz. Whatever the Bhasin’s next adventure, new recipe, or family traditions are, we hope that they continue creating these family memories in their PCR home and our PCR neighborhood.
