Power2Hope
In PCR, we pride ourselves on being a tight knit community - and in this spirit of camaraderie that defines our tight-knit community, we had a group of high schoolers from Rick Reedy who came together with the desire to make a difference in the lives of those around them - Power2Hope.
In April, the group showed their strong commitment by doing something kind. They worked together with PCR to collect items for people in need. These items were given to Family Promise, a local organization that helps families with children in Collin County. Family Promise helps children, and their families find stability during the most difficult days they are facing. As an organization, they supply families with their needs while they are in shelter to ensure they can focus on what is most important, finding a home. Through these goals families save 70% of their income to afford their cost of moving in for their new home or apartment. Our group of teenagers held a donation campaign and worked with PCR and local communities to collect necessities like toilet rolls, soaps and laundry detergents to help settle these families in their temporary homes. Thanks to everyone for your participation in this drive! We love to raise some community spirit around here and the spring and summer months are a great time for cheer! A Huge shout out to Varish, Aryana, Keerti, Ruhi, Suhani for all their efforts!
