Gadgets Made EaZy

Sarah Canning

Sarah Canning grew up in a beautiful home in Duxbury, Mass., but always dreamed of living on the Cape. "I loved hearing people talk about spending their summers at their 'Cape home,' and I made it a goal to make that dream a reality."

Seventeen years ago, when she decided to grow my family, she moved her family to Falmouth, and they've been there ever since. Sarah's family includes her 16-year-old daughter, Samantha, their lovable dog Ralph, their cat Chloe, and their horse Charles.

Fresh out of college, Sarah earned a business degree from a local community college. But as an adult, she faced an unexpected career shift when her 12-year journey as a store manager at Radio Shack came to an end when the store permanently closed.

Determined to forge a new path, Sarah enrolled at Cape Cod Community College (CCCC), where she earned two technology degrees. With that knowledge and experience, she launched Gadgets Made EaZy, turning a challenging transition into an exciting new chapter.

What are your hobbies outside of your busy work schedule?
I enjoy riding our horse, Charles.  We ride local trails and travel to local beaches to explore what they have to offer. My second passion is travel—I love a great adventure!

Where in the world is the best place you've been?
Mykonos, Greece, is my favorite place I’ve ever traveled to. I fell in love with the island’s peaceful simplicity and was blown away by the warmth and kindness of its people. It’s amazing how such a small island offers such a rich variety of experiences.

Tell us a bit about the beginnings of Gadgets Made Easy.
When I was in school as an adult, friends and former Radio Shack clients encouraged me to start my own business. Their support gave me the confidence to pursue a path that allowed me to be there for my daughter while continuing to do what I loved most at Radio Shack—helping people with technology. I enjoyed the variety each day brought, the unique ways each client learned, and the satisfaction of making them feel confident and appreciative of technology.

I founded Gadgets Made Eazy in 2018 after graduating from CCCC. I started the business from my home, then moved to a small sublet office, grew into a larger one, and now we proudly have our own office in Falmouth. I couldn’t be more proud of how far this company has come!

"I'm not one to post things, but I am making an exception for this company and Sarah. She was terrific from the moment I walked thru the door. Sarah explained everything she was doing, and she made you feel there wasn't a dumb question. She is one of the most knowledgeable people I have worked with. Sarah makes things easy to understand, which in turn gives you the confidence to try things yourself. If you are looking for a trustworthy person and one who goes the extra mile to make sure things are working correctly, then you need to give Gadgets Made Eazy a try. She is terrific, and you won't be disappointed." - Donna M.
