Pinnacle Country Club resident Chris Wyrick has spent his career leading, building, and fostering strong communities—both in collegiate athletics and now as a local business owner. Originally from North Carolina, Chris attended NC State University, where he discovered his passion for sports and met his wife, Merrily. His career in athletics spanned 25 years, taking him from NC State to Miami University, Vanderbilt University, the University of South Carolina, and finally, the University of Arkansas. Merrily, a beloved preschool teacher for over two decades, supported Chris throughout his dynamic career while also making a meaningful impact on countless young lives through her teaching.

After a decade at the U of Arkansas, Chris transitioned into the business world, working for Johnelle Hunt at Hunt Ventures, which led to the Wyrick family moving from Fayetteville to Pinnacle Country Club. Chris and Merrily have been married for 32 years and are proud parents to their daughters, Caroline, a nurse at Washington Regional, and Caitlin, a teacher at the Don Tyson School of Innovation in Springdale.

In 2020, Chris and Merrily embarked on a new venture—founding Equity Storage in Rogers. Their goal was to create more than just a storage facility; they wanted to redefine the industry in Northwest Arkansas. Their facility became the first multi-story, fully climate-controlled storage center in the area, offering top-tier security and customer-focused service.

Beyond storage, Equity Storage is deeply involved in the community. Their J. Conrad Business Center provides workspaces and a conference room available free of charge to nonprofits. They take pride in building relationships, knowing most of their customers by name, and supporting numerous local charities year-round.

As they look to the future, the Wyricks are considering expansion options, including additional storage capacity and outdoor RV and boat parking. No matter how they grow, their commitment to being a locally owned, customer-first business will always remain at the heart of what they do.
