Meet Lucy Schuber

A Gentle Soul with a Love for Adventure

A Loyal Heart Named Lucy
This month, we’re excited to introduce another precious Lucy. Living on Queensborough Lane, Lucy Schuber has been part of the neighborhood for the past year and brings her own special mix of sweetness, loyalty, and a few impressive underwater skills that make her completely unforgettable.

Lucy is a 7-year-old mixed breed, with Australian Cattle Dog making up most of her heritage. She’s smart, expressive, and deeply devoted to her people. Her family moved into the neighborhood a year ago and quickly fell in love with their home, their neighbors, and the close proximity to everything Northwest Arkansas has to offer.

The Day Lucy Found Her Family
Lucy joined her family in 2019 in the most unexpected way. She simply showed up at their house one day. They welcomed her inside, fed her, and gave her a bath. After realizing she didn’t have a family looking for her, they made the decision to take her in — and Lucy has been with them ever since.

That first day remains one of their favorite memories. After her bath and dinner, the family sat in a circle, petting and cuddling Lucy as she cried softly, overwhelmed and grateful to finally be inside, safe, and loved. From that moment on, Lucy was home.

Sweet, Vocal, and Devoted
Lucy was given her name simply because it fit her personality perfectly. Sweet and gentle by nature, Lucy loves to communicate and uses a wide range of sounds to express herself. Whether she’s happy, excited, or just wants to be part of the conversation, Lucy always finds a way to make herself heard.

Her loyalty runs deep, and she’s happiest when she’s close to her people, keeping watch over her home and soaking up every bit of affection she can get.

A Natural Water Lover
One of Lucy’s most impressive talents is her love for swimming — especially diving underwater to retrieve toys from the pool. Watching her confidently swim beneath the surface is both entertaining and impressive, and it’s easy to see how much joy it brings her.

When she’s not swimming, Lucy enjoys sitting outside and keeping an eye on the backyard wildlife or heading out for walks around the neighborhood. Her favorite playmates are her backyard canine neighbors — Toby, Oscar, and Titus — who help make everyday life even more fun.

Favorite Treats and Little Adventures
Lucy’s heart can easily be won with food, especially anything involving peanut butter or whipped cream. She’s a big fan of pup cups from 7 Brew and absolutely loves her Kongs, which combine her two favorite activities: chewing and peanut butter.

She also enjoys the occasional outing to Airship Coffee, where she’s always happy to tag along and soak in the attention.

Dreaming of the Beach
If Lucy could plan her perfect getaway, it would be somewhere beachy, where she could swim all day long, dive to her heart’s content, and relax in the sun afterward.

From showing up as a stranger to becoming a cherished family member, Lucy’s story is a sweet reminder that sometimes the best things in life find us exactly when we need them. And on Queensborough Lane, Lucy has found exactly where she belongs.
