Courtney Baxter-Marsh

Dreammaker Bath and Kitchen

Courtney Baxter-Marsh’s journey into the world of home remodeling exemplifies family, passion, and vision. Her story begins with her mother, Mary, who grew up in Rogers and always considered Northwest Arkansas home. Mary k. Baxter attended the University of Arkansas, where she met Courtney's father, Scott Baxter, a chemical engineer from Batesville, AR. Though Scott's career took the family across the United States, they always returned to NWA for family vacations, solidifying their connection to the region.

 A Passion for Remodeling

Courtney’s interest in remodeling was sparked during a full gut remodel of a 1959 bungalow in Tupelo, MS, with her mother. “Mary completely transformed the place, not just cosmetically, but with a full update of plumbing and electrical systems,” Courtney recalls. This eight-week project revealed Mary’s extraordinary talent and ignited Courtney’s passion for remodeling. Courtney admired her mother’s ability to see potential where she couldn’t and learned invaluable lessons about running a successful remodeling business.

Mary has been designing remodels for almost 24 years, starting as a hobby and growing it into a thriving business driven by her passion for design and helping others. Four years ago, Courtney and Mary decided to scale their operations, establishing a family business with a mission to help people find their way home. Their work has transformed numerous homes and witnessed families reconnect in their newly renovated spaces.

 A Family Affair

Courtney, now married to Matt Baxter, a NWA transplant since 2001, welcomed their first child, Magnolia, last Thanksgiving. Balancing family life and a growing business, Courtney and Mary have created a unique dynamic where Courtney handles sales, financials, and behind-the-scenes details, while Mary focuses on design and production. This synergy has proven to be the cornerstone of their success.

The Baxter family’s business is unique in its full-service approach to interior remodeling. They manage everything from design to project completion with their production crew, providing clients with a seamless and stress-free experience. Courtney and Mary’s Design Center is a creative hub where clients can explore design possibilities and envision their dream spaces.

Values-Driven Remodeling

What sets their business apart is their faith-based Code of Values, guiding how they treat clients, coworkers, and employees. Creating beautiful and functional spaces is essential, but above all, how they treat people defines their success. Their commitment to these values has fostered a reputation for integrity and excellence in the community.

Courtney and Mary are deeply involved in their community, using their business to give back. They support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) and advocate for mental health progress in Arkansas. Mary’s recent work designing the CARE center for Saving Grace NWA and their involvement in its Phase II development at the new farm highlight their dedication to making a positive impact.

 A Trusted Partner in Remodeling

Courtney emphasizes the importance of trust and transparency in the remodeling industry. She advises homeowners to avoid high-pressure sales tactics and insist on detailed contracts that outline costs and deliverables. “Ask hard questions and ensure they can guarantee their promises,” she advises.

The testimonials from their clients speak volumes about their work. “After living in their remodeled homes, clients often say, ‘There’s not a thing I would do differently. It is exactly or more than we envisioned,’” Courtney shares. This satisfaction is a testament to the Marsh family’s dedication to exceeding expectations.

Courtney invites anyone, regardless of whether they have an upcoming project, to visit their Design Center. “We love to meet new people and help them explore the possibilities for their homes,” she says. This openness and community spirit are at the heart of their business philosophy.

The Baxter family’s story is one of passion, resilience, and a commitment to excellence. Through their full-service remodeling business, Courtney and Mary are not just transforming homes but enriching the lives of the families who live in them. Here’s to many more years of building dreams and homes in Northwest Arkansas!
