“Pets are wonderful additions to any family, but they certainly add an extra layer of responsibility. With a custom, in-glass pet door, your pet will have the freedom to come and go as needed. You’ll have peace of mind knowing that your pets aren’t locked inside all day. NoCo Pet Doors is here to relieve stress and make your life easier,” said Mike Weant, owner of NoCo Pet Doors.
Mike grew up in Fort Collins, graduating from Rocky Mountain High School before enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. He served our country for four years, during which he learned the value of hard work and grit. Mike returned to Northern Colorado and began looking for his next career path. “What I did in the Marines didn’t really transfer to the civilian world,” he explained. “I ended up finding work as a glazier.” Over the next ten years, Mike became a skilled tradesman in the installation, repair, and replacement of glass doors and windows in homes and businesses.
It didn’t take Mike long to realize that in-glass pet door installation was a much-needed service in the area. In 2021, Mike founded NoCo Pet Doors and began helping pets and people enjoy the freedom that an at-will pet door provides.
Serving Fort Collins, Loveland, Windsor, Greeley, and beyond, NoCo Pet Doors has installed over 600 custom pet doors in Northern Colorado homes since its start. “Our customers absolutely rave about their doors,” he said. “Having an access point makes pet owners’ lives so much easier because they don’t have to worry about letting their animals out. It’s a game changer.”
NoCo Pet Doors specializes in in-glass pet doors. These custom doors are installed right into your sliding glass door or French doors in your home. An in-glass door is a safer and more aesthetic choice for many reasons. In-glass pet doors do not disrupt the flow of your home, while also protecting the natural light. They do not permanently damage or alter your walls, and they avoid disrupting or changing the drywall, insulation, framing, and possibly wiring/plumbing of your home.
Not to mention, your pet is already accustomed to coming and going through the back door. An in-glass pet door is a natural extension of that habit and will help train them to use the new door. In-glass doors also offer security features such as locks and Wi-Fi-controlled systems. The double-flap design also keeps cold air out of your home, thereby increasing energy efficiency.
As the business has grown, so has the team. Mary Marchio is the administrator, handling customer interactions and scheduling. Matt Miller is a retired Air Force veteran and serves as the lead pet door installer. “Our team is fantastic,” Mike said. “We all truly care about our clients and their pets.”
What sets NoCo Pet Door apart is its lifetime warranty. If anything happens to the pet door, they will fix it expeditiously. “We stand by our product,” Mike said. “We know that our doors can withstand even the biggest and most rambunctious dogs. And if anything does happen, we’ll fix it right away. Every time.”
“We’re a Veteran-owned, family-owned business. We love pets, and we treat every single house like it’s our own. We treat our customers the way we want to be treated. Pets are a big part of people’s families. We take that seriously,” Mike said.
