A Drive & Dine Date Night Out Courtesy of Pedersen Volvo

Jay and Marcia Erickson, who have lived in Highland Meadows for 20 years, were the lucky residents to experience “Drive and Dine” hosted by Pedersen Volvo and Stroll magazine. The event featured a loan of a Volvo vehicle, along with dinner at a local restaurant.

“Our date night felt like a prom date! The brand-new Volvo car was delivered to our driveway by Brent Lewis, Sales and Leasing Consultant, and Angie Sampson, Publisher of Stroll Magazine. After some simple directions and photos, we had a nice late afternoon drive taking the back roads to The Lodge in Water Valley, where we enjoyed a wonderful 5-course dinner courtesy of Pedersen Volvo. The Volvo was a dream to drive. The interior was sleek, and the oversized sunroof made the car seem extra light and open. I have driven a Tesla, and this one beats it!  I made sure to hit the highway on the return to see how it handled with speed. It's so fun to drive", stated Marcia.

Jay chimed in and said, “This car was a dream to drive—smooth, quiet, and incredibly responsive. The safety features are top-notch, giving you peace of mind on every trip. I was driving past some construction barrels on the side of the road, and the Volvo detected them before I even noticed. I realized that with all the safety technology in this car, I'd never have to worry about accidentally swiping one of those barrels. It would be amazing if every new driver could experience a car like this. Brent mentioned that in the past nine years, there hasn’t been a single fatality in this vehicle, which speaks volumes about its safety."

Jay and Marcia would like to sincerely thank Pedersen Volvo for hosting such an amazing night. Sounds like their prom was a huge success!

ABOUT BRENT LEWIS AND THE VOLVO EX90

Although Brent Lewis has only been with Pederson Volvo for two months, he already feels at home among his colleagues. As a Sales and Leasing Consultant, he shares, “The best part of my job is the people I work with and helping clients get behind the wheel of safe, modern, and cutting-edge vehicles.” Speaking of cutting-edge, Brent goes on to describe the vehicle that Jay and Marcia recently experienced.

The all-electric Volvo EX90 is the most impressive new luxury car launched in the past 12 months, says the World Car Awards expert jury. Every Volvo car is developed to meet our stringent safety standards, which are aimed above and beyond what's required by ratings or regulations. ABOUT PEDERSEN VOLVO

Mark Pedersen has been part of the automotive industry for most of his life. His father, Gerry Pedersen, became the sole owner of Colorado Import Motors in 1975. Mark recounts, “I grew up around the dealership, working when I could in all the different departments. After graduating from high school, I attended Regis University in Denver, and upon graduation, I was prepared to take a couple of months off. The day after I graduated, my dad asked when I was going to work. I told him I wanted to take some time off to enjoy life, and he said, ‘Great; see you on Monday.’ I’ve been at the dealership ever since.” Mark formally took over as President and General Manager in 2005, and after Gerry’s passing, he became the sole owner of the family business.

What makes Pedersen Volvo Cars unique is its status as a family-owned dealership, which brings a personal touch to its operations. Being family-owned often translates to a more hands-on approach to customer service, a focus on long-term relationships rather than quick sales, and a commitment to maintaining a strong reputation within the community. Family-owned businesses like Pedersen prioritize values like integrity, trust, and personalized attention, creating a unique customer experience compared to larger, corporate-owned dealerships.

Due to the principles instilled by Mark's father, Gerry, they will forever cherish and uphold his affection for Northern Colorado, as reflected in their motto, "Driven By Community." Mark said, “We benefit from being connected to the community in several ways. Such connections can foster brand loyalty, increase visibility, and create goodwill. By engaging with the community through sponsorships, events, or charitable initiatives, the dealership can build trust and rapport, attracting local customers who prefer supporting businesses in their area. Moreover, community involvement often leads to valuable word-of-mouth referrals and a deeper understanding of the community's needs, allowing Pedersen Volvo Cars to tailor its services more effectively. We are proud to support our Northern Colorado Community, and this motto reflects our dedication and commitment to the people of Northern Colorado.”

ABOUT RON EMERY, VICE PRESIDENT OF PEDERSEN VOLVO

Ron Emery, Vice President of Pedersen Volvo Cars, aligns with Gerry’s founding principles, which have been continued and built upon by Mark. “I knew this was a first-class organization, and they truly cared about their customers and employees.”

In January 2021, Ron had the opportunity to join Mark as his Chief Operating Officer, and in November 2022, he was moved to his current role of Vice President. “I am honored to carry on the founding principles and to help guide an elevated customer and employee experience,” stated Ron. He says, “Volvo wants to provide you with the freedom to move in a personal, sustainable, and safe way.”

Both Mark and Ron eagerly embrace the future of Pedersen Volvo Cars, which is filled with promise and innovation. Fueled by a legacy of customer-centric values and a passion for community, they stand at the threshold of an exciting future.
