Meet Grayson Mischo

A high schooler from Highland Meadows who is grounded by family and driven by the game.

Grayson Mischo has lived in Highland Meadows since August 2025, and in just a few short months, he’s already making a strong impression. A student at Windsor High School, Grayson is deeply rooted in family and outdoor life. “My family is everything to me,” he says. He is the youngest of four siblings and looks up to each of them in different ways.

His oldest sister, Maddie, shares his love of the outdoors, and the two have made countless memories together on outdoor adventures. Maddie now works as a paramedic in Boulder. His next-oldest sister, Ari, followed a very different path. A talented equestrian, Ari competed for years in reining with the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA), as the family traveled to watch her pursue that dream. When the professional horse world became financially unsustainable, Ari pivoted to a new career and is now an accomplished welder, a transition Grayson greatly admires. His youngest sister, Layne, is a freshman at Windsor High School and a member of the girls' wrestling team. “Needless to say, she’s tough,” Grayson says with a smile, noting that their close ages have always made them especially close. This year, Layne qualified for the state wrestling tournament, an impressive accomplishment for a freshman.

His parents, Matt and Kim Mischo, are equally influential; his father works in commercial construction, and his mother owns Clear Heart and Lung Imaging, a business they founded in Loveland to pursue more meaningful work.

At Windsor High School, Grayson has distinguished himself as a dedicated student-athlete. He competes on the WHS boys golf team and qualified for the state tournament this year, earning First Team All-Conference honors in Colorado. Although an injury affected his performance at state, Grayson considers the experience valuable. “I love to compete and enjoy the satisfaction that hitting a good ball brings,” he shares.

Grayson has been swinging a golf club since he was very young. After briefly pursuing football in middle school with plans to continue through high school, concussions and a concerned mom ultimately led him to step away from the sport.

His journey in golf has been shaped by perseverance. After not making the team as a freshman, Grayson committed to improvement and eventually earned the top seed by his junior year. He also represents Windsor High School, along with his friend, Conley, on the high school bass fishing team, combining competition with his passion for the outdoors. Among his achievements are qualifying for the state tournament and winning the 2025 Junior Club Championship at Pelican Lakes with a score of 70.

Grayson believes his strength lies in mastering both the physical and mental sides of the game. “I don’t come from a golf background,” he explains. “Learning how to stay composed has taught me a lot.” He credits golf instructor Marc Silva as a key mentor. “Marc helped me realize that one round doesn’t define how good or bad you are; it’s an opportunity to improve,” Grayson says. Grayson’s high school golf coach has also been influential in his golf journey.

Looking ahead, Grayson hopes to attend college to play golf and pursue a career in construction, though he says becoming an outfitter would also be a dream.

Grayson is eager to connect with neighbors who may need an extra set of hands. He is available for yardwork, pet sitting or dog walking, and snow removal, and takes pride in being dependable and hardworking. As an avid golfer, Grayson’s ultimate goal is to work at a local golf course. Neighbors interested in hiring Grayson can reach him at 970-518-6541 or mischograyson@gmail.com

Supported by a close-knit family, a love of the outdoors, and a strong work ethic, Grayson Mischo is a young neighbor with a bright and promising future.
