A Drive and Dine Date Night with Pedersen Toyota

Thanks to Pedersen Toyota, Greg With and Sally Knauer from Highland Hills were fortunate enough to enjoy a night out! Greg said, “We had a fantastic night out on the town. We couldn’t recall the last time we visited Sonny Lubick’s, but we figured it had been more than ten years. The food was excellent, and the staff treated us so specially. We both had filet mignon, and it was perfect. This is a wonderful restaurant, and we recommend it for those having a special occasion.” Sally said, “We also had the Vern's Toffee sundae at the restaurant, which I highly recommend!”

Greg went on to say, “Driving a brand-new Toyota pickup truck was a real treat. We took it to dinner, and the next day, we did some shopping in Loveland. We've both owned Toyotas for years and enjoy their reliability. Testing out the new safety features and electronics that our current truck doesn't have was neat. It drives like a sports car.”

Greg and Sally have lived in Highland Hills for 20 years. Sally is a retired orthopedic surgeon, and Greg is retired from the City of Fort Collins.

They both thanked Stroll magazine and Pedersen Toyota for giving them a terrific night out. Sally said, “This was such a great surprise, and we really appreciated it. We’d especially like to thank Bo Walser at Pedersen Toyota. It was great meeting him, and he gave Greg a lot of good information about the Tacoma!”

About Pedersen Toyota

Moments like these are undoubtedly some of the most rewarding aspects of working for a remarkable organization like Pedersen Toyota!

Mark Pedersen has spent much of his life in the automotive industry, following in the footsteps of his father, Gerry Pedersen, who became the sole owner of Colorado Import Motors in 1975. Mark recalls, “I grew up around the dealership, working in various departments whenever possible. After high school, I went on to attend Regis University in Denver, and upon graduating, I was ready to take a break. But the day after I graduated, my dad asked when I was going to start working. I told him I wanted to take some time off, and he simply said, ‘Great, see you Monday.’ I’ve been at the dealership ever since.” Mark officially took over as President and General Manager in 2005, and after his father’s passing, he became the sole owner of the family business.

What sets Pedersen Toyota apart is its identity as a family-owned dealership, which brings a personal touch to everything it does. Being family-owned means a more hands-on approach to customer service, fostering long-term relationships over quick sales, and a dedication to maintaining a strong community presence. Family-run businesses like Pedersen focus on core values such as integrity, trust, and individualized attention, offering a customer experience that stands out compared to larger, corporate-owned dealerships.

Thanks to the values instilled by Mark’s father, Gerry, Pedersen Toyota will always treasure his deep love for Northern Colorado, a sentiment reflected in their motto, "Driven By Community." Mark shares, “Being connected to the community offers numerous benefits, from building brand loyalty to increasing visibility and fostering goodwill. Through sponsorships, events, and charitable efforts, our community involvement helps build trust with local customers who appreciate businesses that give back. Additionally, it leads to valuable word-of-mouth referrals and a better understanding of the community’s needs, allowing us to tailor our services accordingly. We are incredibly proud to support Northern Colorado, and this motto reflects our deep commitment to the people of this great region.”

Ron Emery, Vice President of Pedersen Toyota, shares a strong alignment with the founding principles established by Gerry and further expanded by Mark. During his time as an Area Sales Manager at Toyota Financial Services, Ron worked closely with both Mark and Gerry, with Pedersen Toyota being one of his accounts. Reflecting on those interactions, Ron remarked, “It was always a fun and productive visit with the two. That’s when I knew this was a first-class organization, deeply committed to both their customers and employees.”

In January 2021, Ron had the opportunity to join Mark as Chief Operating Officer, and in November 2022, he transitioned to his current role as Vice President. “I’m honored to carry on the founding principles and help elevate the experience for both our customers and employees,” Ron said.

Mark, Bo, and Ron eagerly embrace the future of Pedersen Toyota filled with promise and innovation. Fueled by a legacy of customer-centric values and a passion for community, they stand at the threshold of an exciting future. With a dedicated team, there is a lot of enthusiasm for the road that lies ahead.
