Jeff grew up on a small farm in Ohio where he learned first-hand the value of hard work and craftsmanship. He’s been in construction his whole life, joking that from the time he could carry a hammer, he was working alongside his dad. He spent the early part of his sales career building a reputation for customer service with luxury car brands in South Florida. He will be opening a second location in the Naples area in the near future.

 

He moved to Colorado nearly 15 years ago. "Growing up close to the Amish community, doors were built to last for generations; they weren't something you replaced every few years,” he said. “When I came to Colorado, I quickly realized that although you may be able to find a custom hardwood door, nobody was fully encompassing. You may find a custom door, but they may not stain it, and you usually had to find someone else to install it for you. That's why we do what we do”.

 

For the last 10 years, Jeff has sought a variety of wood suited for Colorado’s dry weather and sometimes frigid temperatures. After trial and error on his own home, he discovered a proprietary strain of Brazilian mahogany that doesn’t warp, crack, or fail in this environment.

 

“Every door we build is custom designed for your home,” Jeff said. “We offer 100% hardwood Brazilian Mahogany, no veneers. We stain and install them ourselves with a three-year warranty.”

 

Over the years, The Door Dudes have built an incredible reputation in Northern Colorado and beyond. They have hundreds of 5-star reviews and nearly all of their business comes from referrals.
