School is almost out for the summer break and if you are looking for a fun and engaging summer read for your young children, then we have great news!  Our Stroll Quail Hollow friend and multi award-winning author Kimber Morgan Fox has just released her second book in the Chipper the Fox series. This new book has already received a Readers’ Favorite 5-star review and the prestigious Children’s Book Review gave it their stamp of approval.    

Inspired by her daughter’s annual summer camp trips, and having a childhood pen pal, Kimber Morgan Fox wrote “Chipper Sends Sunshine”.   Her character Chipper the Fox returns, and with some of his friends attends a fun summer camp where they meet new friends from all over the world.  After making special memories swimming, playing and learning together, the new friends go home and then work together to come up with a great way to keep in touch with their camp friends and keep the fun going.

“Chipper Sends Sunshine shares the excitement of summer camp, while also teaching kids a way to keep in touch with friends and/or family when everyone can’t be together.  Mailing letters and cards is somewhat of a lost art, but I always feel a little excited when I receive something in the mail.” says Kimber.  

Young readers of the book will have their own fun following along with the activity card in the book to make their own “Mail a Hug” which they can send to family or friends who live far away.  To quote from the book; “Camp had made them best of pals, a friendship of the heart. Letters helped to close the gap they felt while far apart.”
