When Dr. Aimee Polgar envisioned opening her own practice, she was thinking about building something meaningful in this very community she calls home. A Westlake native and graduate of Westlake High School, Dr. Aimee’s journey has taken her from the University of Tampa, where she studied exercise science and sport studies, to earning her doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, Florida. Along the way, she became an internationally certified sports nutritionist, deepening her passion for helping patients move, feel, and live better from the inside out.

After returning to Northeast Ohio and spending nearly a decade serving patients locally, she felt called to take the leap into solo ownership. In October 2025, Westside Chiropractic & Wellness opened its doors in Avon. After years of experience as a clinic director and partner, Dr. Aimee saw a need for care that went beyond just pain relief, and “reactive sickcare.” At Westside, Dr. Aimee practices proactive care that empowers people to live longer, healthier lives. 

Her mission is simple: make lives better. Now a Red Tail resident herself, Dr. Aimee lives in Avon with her husband, Tyler, and their two dogs, Luna and Stella. She loves the balance this special area offers, where residents can enjoy the amenities of Cleveland while still experiencing the close-knit feel of local communities. After several years in Florida, she is thrilled to experience all four seasons in the Midwest again.

Helping patients feel comfortable is one of Dr. Aimee’s primary concerns. While Westside is still a clinical environment that supports high-quality care, it is also a safe, calm, and welcoming space for patients. The practice offers comprehensive chiropractic care for the entire family, so families can feel at ease bringing everyone from infants to grandparents. 

While massage therapy is also a cornerstone of their practice, Westside Chiropractic & Wellness also offers spinal decompression therapy for disc herniations, stenosis, and degenerative spinal conditions. Chiropractic care can support many neuromusculoskeletal issues, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, joint discomfort, and postural imbalances. Westside’s highly trained therapists take the time to listen closely to patients and tailor their techniques to meet each individual's specific needs. 

What truly sets Westside apart is its philosophy of care. Dr. Aimee believes treatment plans should be guided by patient needs rather than insurance limitations. For that reason, the practice operates outside of traditional insurance networks. This transparent, patient-first approach allows her to recommend the most effective course of care without restrictions on frequency or treatment type. For patients who wish to use insurance benefits, itemized receipts are provided for out-of-network reimbursement. HSA and FSA accounts are accepted for both chiropractic and massage services.

Dr. Aimee also reminds patients that pain is common, but it is not normal. Living with constant discomfort, movement restrictions, or high stress does not have to be your baseline. Her advice to neighbors, especially in an active community like Red Tail, is simple. “Stay strong and keep your body moving. If you are active, you need to spend just as much time and energy recovering and taking care of your body as you do working it. Chiropractic care and massage therapy are not luxuries. They are an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Motion is lotion.”
