Gracie the Cavapoo Brings Love, Laughter, and a Little Mischief to the Freeh Home
At just 10 months old, this cuddly pup has already captured hearts—and conquered every squeaky toy in sight.

Bonnie and Dave Freeh’s home has been a little brighter, a little busier, and a lot more joyful since the arrival of their Cavapoo, Gracie. At just 10 months old, this affectionate pup has already secured her place as a beloved family member.
The Freehs had done their research before welcoming Gracie. They were drawn to the Cavapoo’s reputation for being affectionate and easygoing with adults, children, and other pets. That gentle nature made the breed a perfect fit for their household. Their search led them to a family-owned breeder in Independence, and from the moment they met Gracie, they knew she was the one.
Her name, chosen with purpose, reflects her personality. “Grace is the disposition to show kindness,” Bonnie explains. “It just seemed like the right name for her.” True to her name, Gracie embodies a kind and gentle spirit—though she also has a mischievous streak when it comes to her toys. Her favorite mission? Removing squeakers from stuffed animals. “She has yet to meet a stuffie she can’t conquer,” Dave laughs.
Gracie’s reddish coat, accented by a charming little white goatee, only adds to her personality. She adores cuddles and companionship, whether with people or other pets, and she’s known to charm neighbors on walks. Sometimes she’ll plop down on the sidewalk, patiently waiting in hopes that a passerby will stop to greet her. Other times, she sits quietly, taking in the neighborhood happenings like a curious observer.
Of course, Gracie is more than a little spoiled—her menu often includes chicken, eggs, and cheese. But for the Freehs, every treat is well worth the happiness she brings. In less than a year, Gracie has become more than a pet—she’s family.
