Meet Moxie: The Life of the Sammon Home
From barking at kibble to greeting golfers, this fluffy Bichon Poo keeps everyone smiling.
Moxie has been spreading sweet doggie love for a decade. This 10-year-old Bichon Poo is full of love and silly quirks. Since the day Jack & Lori Sammon found her in Berne, Indiana, and took the four-hour trip to see her, it was love at first sight. They were able to bring her home when she was eight weeks old to fill the huge void in their lives after losing their beloved Gracie after 12 years.
This sweet girl’s personality fits perfectly with her name, even though it took a while for her parents to agree on one. But when Lori suggested it on vacation in Mexico while they were drinking margaritas, they both loved it. Her name is pretty popular too, as she’s a big fan of everyone in the neighborhood.
Moxie loves when people come over to her house. She’s also very smart, as she still remembers her old neighbors from Vilamoura even after they moved to St. Theresa four years ago. Especially Jim Frigge and anyone else stopping by when they’re on hole eight. She also loves to come out to the patio and mingle with the women on the Thursday night hybrid league when they stop by for a limoncello. So, when you’re playing a round, make sure you are looking for this furry friend as she’s peeking through the patio fence to catch a familiar face.
Best of all, she brings a lot of laughter to the Sammon home. When she is going to eat, she barks at her food for a few minutes just to let everyone know! Then she throws the first kibble for reasons only she knows! She also has a little sass, especially when mom and dad want to have a fun night out! When they get home, they’ll find all the doors shut and pillows thrown on the ground just to let them know she’s not happy.
This sass definitely comes from how spoiled she is. Her parents say that if you look in the dictionary for the word “spoiled,” there’s a picture of Moxie next to it!
This girl is silly, but she can also be serious! Especially when it comes to her OCD. If there’s anything she thinks is out of place inside or outside, she barks to make sure everyone knows it and until it’s fixed. Even when there’s a plastic bag in the bushes three houses down, that won’t do, and it’s got to be removed. She is just a tedious girly!
At the end of the day, Moxie is the perfect companion and as loyal as they come.
