Red Tail’s Ladies Golf Association

Lite League Ladies: Mikki Rozar, Corri Maxwell, Missy Habeeb, Kim Veverka, Janine Detter, Laura Hannan
The Red Tail Ladies’ Golf Association has seen a lot of growth over the past few years! Four years ago, the Hybrid League was added to the program allowing the ladies to play nine holes of golf with contests instead of competition. The league offered the ladies a smooth transition from the Lite League, where they had golf clinics and scrambled a few holes, to then play nine holes. The Hybrid League also gave some ladies the confidence and/or drive to join the more competitive 9-hole league. A 9-hole morning league was also added two years ago to complement the 18-hole morning league for those who didn’t have the time or interest in committing to 18-holes in the morning.
Weekly emails were sent out to about 180 Red Tail ladies by president, Kasey Kellem, keeping all of the members, past and present, informed about the weekly contests, winners, outings, and socials. There were about 130 ladies who participated in the five different leagues during the 2024 golf season:
22 Ladies: Thursday evening, 9-hole league
18 Ladies: Tuesday morning, 18-hole ladies
17 Ladies: Hybrid League
12 Ladies: Tuesday morning, 9-hole
60 Ladies: Lite League

Ladies Lite
Sixty ladies signed up for the Ladies Lite program with most of these ladies participating in the weekly clinics given by Todd Company, PGA Pro, and his golf professional staff. Many ladies stayed after the clinics and played a scramble for 4 to 5 holes each week. The culmination of each weekly meeting was the socialization on the patio and the interaction between all of the Thursday night lady golfers.
