Raising the Bar: Finn Petzinger’s Standout Journey as a Student-Athlete

How Avon High School’s Dual-Sport Leader Is Shaping Success On the Field, In the Classroom, and Beyond

Finn Petzinger, a senior at Avon High School, is a standout student-athlete who balances academics and athletics with dedication and leadership. A dual-sport competitor, Finn plays both soccer and volleyball for the Eagles, contributing to two of the school’s most competitive programs.

On the soccer field, Finn was an integral part of Avon’s impressive 12-2-4 season, helping the team make a deep playoff run while showcasing his athleticism and discipline. Off the field, he made an even greater impact by helping establish the Avon boys volleyball club—an effort that not only expanded athletic opportunities at the school but also demonstrated his commitment to building community. In just its second season, the team posted a strong 14-10 record, with Finn emerging as a key leader on the court.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Finn is active in National Honor Society and Model UN, reflecting a well-rounded commitment to leadership, academics, and service. He’s recognized among his peers for his ability to stay focused, support his teammates, and lead by example.

As he enters his senior year, Finn continues to raise the bar for what it means to be a student-athlete at Avon. His dedication, initiative, and competitive spirit make him a respected member of the school community and a role model for younger athletes. With college on the horizon, Finn is poised to carry his passion for sports and leadership into the next chapter of his journey.
