Photography has the power to hold onto what time inevitably changes. At Anica Clare Photography, sessions are designed to feel relaxed, collaborative, and timeless. From golden-hour family portraits to thoughtful home and garden documentation, Anica works with her clients to preserve not just how life looks, but how it feels.

I was born and raised in Lafayette and grew up in a very creative home. Photography has always been part of my life, even before I realized it. As a child, my family would sit down once a year and flip through old photo albums together. Those moments stuck with me. Later, I discovered that both my mom and my grandfather shot film, which made me feel like I was carrying on something meaningful. Photography became my way of preserving memories and honoring the seasons of life we are living in.

I offer family portraits, couples sessions, engagement and maternity sessions, senior portraits, and small event photography. I also provide business branding sessions. Two services I am especially excited about are House Portrait Sessions and seasonal Garden Documentation. For homeowners who have invested time and care into their homes and landscaping, I create intentional sessions that capture both the space and the people who live there. It becomes a beautiful way to remember not just how your home looked, but how life felt inside it.

I focus on collaboration and intention. Before every session, I work with clients to understand the feeling they want to capture. Sometimes that includes creating inspiration boards together so we are aligned on the vision. During the session, I guide gently but allow real moments to unfold naturally. I want people to feel comfortable and seen, not overly posed.

I also offer true film photography in addition to digital. Film requires patience and precision, and it creates images that feel soft, timeless, and heirloom worthy. For clients who prefer digital, I use professional mirrorless equipment that allows me to deliver high-quality images quickly, sometimes even the same day. I aim to get everything right in camera rather than relying heavily on editing.

River Ranch is such a beautiful and intentional community. Families invest so much into their homes, gardens, and traditions. Children grow up here. Grandchildren visit here. Gardens bloom and change every season. Those details deserve to be documented. Photography becomes part of a family’s history. Years from now, I want my clients to look back and remember exactly how this chapter of life felt.
