One Eye, One Mission: Finding Every Treat in Riverlights

Jack, the four-year-old French Bulldog, charmed his way into a forever home and hasn't stopped wiggling since. Here's his story, in his own words.

Hi, I'm Jack! A professional toy inspector, neighborhood greeter, and Mom's favorite little sidekick.
Mom has lived in Riverlights since 2020, and I can confidently say it's one of the best places ever. There are golf cart rides, lots of friendly people to watch from the porch, and endless opportunities to sniff things. Sometimes people wave at me, and I wiggle back because, well, I don’t have hands.

I first spotted Mom at the Fourth of July party at the clubhouse in 2022. I gave her my very best "please love me forever" face, and it worked. She officially became my mom on July 30th. Best trick I ever did!

One thing you should know about me—I only have one eye. Everyone says it makes me look like a tiny pirate, so Mom named me after Captain Jack Sparrow. I don’t know who that is, but apparently he was charming, stubborn, and a little mischievous, so that tracks.

Every day when Mom comes home from work, she scoops me up and gives me a big hug. That's easily my favorite part of the day. Well... maybe tied with treats.

We recently moved into a new house in the neighborhood, which means I've had a lot of important work to do. I've been checking out new smells and introducing myself to the neighbors, including my new pal, Snoop, who lives just down the street. Southern Shores is another favorite stop of mine, mostly because there are always yummy treats waiting for me there.

Speaking of important things, I take my toys very seriously. Squeaky toys, chewy toys, fluffy toys - I love them all. Sometimes I love them so much that they mysteriously fall apart. Then Mom and Grandma perform emergency surgery and somehow bring them back to life. Real life superheroes!

If I could have anything in the world, it would be the longest golf cart ride ever - preferably with snacks and belly rubs the whole way.

Life is pretty good when you have golf cart rides, great neighbors, lots of toys, and a mom who gives the very best hugs.

Now if you'll excuse me, I think I heard a treat bag open somewhere…
