The Golden Standard - Meet Sadie!

Smart, social, and endlessly motivated, Sadie sets the bar high for what it means to be a well-loved (and very accomplished) neighborhood dog.

If enthusiasm were an Olympic sport, Sadie would already have the gold-and probably a victory lap to greet everyone in the stands. This 3½-year-old golden retriever has spent the last four years winning hearts all over RiverTown, one wag and wiggle at a time.
Sadie’s family loves RiverTown for its sense of community-being surrounded by amazing people and building real connections-and Sadie has clearly taken that mission personally. Her signature move? Unfiltered joy when meeting new people. Neighbors, kids, visitors… no one is a stranger for long.
Sadie’s path into the family came with perfect timing. Her mom is a professional dog trainer, and Sadie originally belonged to one of her clients. When the client’s older dog decided puppy life wasn’t for them and Sadie was headed back to the breeder, the universe had other plans. After the family had recently lost their first dog, Sadie filled the empty space-and helped their senior border collie sister, Bindi (15), heal too (even if Bindi doesn’t always appreciate Sadie’s “playful encouragement”).
Don’t let the sweet golden face fool you-Sadie is an overachiever. She loves to learn, thrives on training, and treats dog sports like her full-time job. She’s been competing in agility for over a year, participates in man-trailing and scent work, and currently holds eight titles, including three AKC Canine Good Citizen titles and six agility titles-with a few more already in the works.
When she’s not collecting titles, Sadie reports for duty alongside her mom, helping RiverTown dogs learn proper manners. She also volunteers on sea turtle patrol with Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol, putting her incredible nose to work with the goal of one day being approved by FWC to help locate turtle nests faster. Yes, she’s adorable and a conservationist.
At home, Sadie is all heart. She adores her kids, their neighborhood friends, and any opportunity for extra attention. She’s a big fan of golf cart rides, park adventures, and reminding her older sister Bindi that playtime is always a good idea.
Her favorite treats include salmon, broccoli, and celery-proof that she’s equal parts athlete and health nut. And if Sadie had to choose her dream adventure? Easy: everywhere. She has serious FOMO, considers herself the family’s third child, and firmly believes she should never be left behind.
With her boundless enthusiasm, impressive resume, and heart for people (and turtles), Sadie is proof that sometimes the best family members come with four legs-and zero personal space.
