RED, WHITE & BLUE BERRY TRIFLE
Ingredients
- 1 store-bought pound cake or angel food cake, cut into cubes
- 2 cups strawberries, sliced
- 2 cups blueberries
- 1 large container whipped topping or homemade whipped cream
- 1 package instant vanilla pudding (optional for extra richness)
- Fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Assembly
- Prepare pudding according to package directions, if using.
- In a large clear trifle bowl or glass dish, layer half of the cake cubes on the bottom.
- Add a layer of pudding or whipped cream.
- Top with strawberries and blueberries.
- Repeat layers until the bowl is full.
- Finish with whipped cream and decorate the top with berries in a festive pattern.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
