RED, WHITE & BLUE BERRY TRIFLE

Ingredients
  • 1 store-bought pound cake or angel food cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • 2 cups blueberries
  • 1 large container whipped topping or homemade whipped cream
  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding (optional for extra richness)
  • Fresh mint for garnish (optional)
Assembly
  1. Prepare pudding according to package directions, if using.
  2. In a large clear trifle bowl or glass dish, layer half of the cake cubes on the bottom.
  3. Add a layer of pudding or whipped cream.
  4. Top with strawberries and blueberries.
  5. Repeat layers until the bowl is full.
  6. Finish with whipped cream and decorate the top with berries in a festive pattern.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
