Turns Out...

We built more than a magazine.

Dear Riverview,
June feels a little different around here. Maybe it is the longer days. Maybe it is summer settling in. Maybe it is the confetti from our birthday issue still floating through the air. Or maybe it is simply because this month has me feeling extra grateful.
This issue marks one year of Stroll Riverview. One year of stories. One year of neighbors opening their doors, sharing their lives, and reminding me over and over again that community is not built through streets and houses. It is built through people.
As I looked through this month's pages, I realized there is a thread quietly woven through every story. Growth. The Tate family, our very first cover family, reflecting on a year filled with milestones and memories. Tank the Frenchie finding his forever family and proving second chances can become the sweetest stories. Women gathering together to support, encourage, and lift one another up. Neighbors celebrating life around dinner tables, back porches, and in everyday moments that somehow become the ones we remember most.
Even our summer pages carry little reminders to slow down and enjoy life. To take the trip. Protect your skin. Read the book. Eat the cupcake. Sit on the porch a little longer. Because if this year has taught me anything, it is that life moves fast. Really fast. And somewhere in all the rushing, planning, working, and checking boxes, I think we forget that some of the most meaningful moments happen in the middle of ordinary Tuesdays.
Not the giant milestones.
Not the finish lines.
The small moments.
The laughter around a dinner table.
The spontaneous text that turns into coffee.
The familiar wave from a neighbor.
The feeling of being known.
I came here hoping to build a magazine.
Instead, I found home.
So thank you for allowing me into your stories this past year. Thank you for trusting us with your memories, celebrations, and moments in between. Happy Birthday, Riverview. Year Two looks pretty good already.
