Unleashing Flexibility and Wellness with Stretch Zone

Deborah Ashley

Struggling with muscle pain? Soreness? Or do you want to improve your flexibility and range of motion? Be sure to check out Stretch Zone, a unique studio specializing in one-on-one assisted stretching. With locations in Rancho Palos Verdes and Redondo Beach, owner Deborah Ashley has cultivated a space that caters to everyone, from everyday individuals to athletes, as well as those recovering from injuries or surgeries.

Deborah's path in the wellness industry began with a passion for flexibility and a desire to help people unlock their full potential. "It's really nice to help people," she smiles. "We have a lot of success stories at Stretch Zone. We work with kids as young as 14, and our oldest client is 90," she shares. The satisfaction of witnessing clients regain the ability to perform everyday activities, from bending over to walking without a cane, is very rewarding.

Setting Themselves Apart Through Proprietary Products and Practitioners

What sets Stretch Zone apart is its proprietary belt and strapping system integrated into their stretching tables. This innovative approach mobilizes one side of the body while the other is stretched, yielding superior results for clients. The studio's focus on proper stretching not only increases range of motion, flexibility, and athletic performance but also relieves stiffness and soreness.

Stretch Zone's team of practitioners all have a background in anatomy and physiology, exercise science and/or physical therapy. Additionally, they undergo Stretch Zone’s nationally accredited training certification course. This commitment to professional development ensures that clients receive top-notch care and personalized stretching sessions. Deborah herself has completed the training, attesting to the quality of the program.

Catering to Every Body

“We work with everyone,” says Deborah, “from professional athletes to regular people, as well as those recovering from injuries such as knee replacements or spinal fusions.” The professionals at Stretch Zone cater to every “body.”

Short-term memberships and session packs are available, encouraging clients to commit to a three-month wellness journey and assess their progress after this period. Deborah emphasizes that the frequency of visits directly correlates with the results, making regular sessions the key to achieving optimal flexibility and wellness.

“It’s better to start focusing on wellness and flexibility sooner rather than later,” says Deborah. “Due to our sedentary lifestyles,  most people by age 30 start to lose 1 percent of their flexibility year after year.” Regular stretching can change that statistic around.

Clients are invited to experience the transformative effects of Stretch Zone with a complimentary first session. This allows individuals to try out the studio and its unique approach before making any commitment. Beyond the physical benefits, clients often report improved sleep and a calmer central nervous system after a session.

Pursuing Her Passion

With a background in finance and management, Deborah brings a unique perspective to the wellness industry. A competitive gymnast in her youth, she understood the significance of stretching early on, instilling a lifelong commitment to fitness and wellness. Her hands-on approach to training ensures that the practitioners at Stretch Zone can work with a variety of body types, creating a comfortable experience for clients.
