Women’s Community Club of Rolling Hills 2024 Installation Lunch

2024 WCCRH Officers: Lisa Waldo, Azam Mirtorabi, Stacy Markulis, Arlene Honbo, Chanel Terry, Melissa McNabb, and Claudia Feld

On January 11, 2024, the Women’s Community Club of Rolling Hills (WCCRH) held its Installation Lunch at the beautiful Rolling Hills Country Club.

Everyone had been very busy over the holidays, so it was nice to see friends and neighbors again. We caught up with each other, hearing about holiday trips, family updates and other happenings around town. Then we sat down to a delicious lunch.
WCCRH Club President, Karen Willis, welcomed everyone and shared what an honor and privilege it has been to lead our Club. 2023 was a successful year for WCCRH. Our members and club committees worked tirelessly to grow our signature events, Egg Hunt, The Women’s Tea, and Snow Day, so that they are bigger and better than ever, collectively welcoming hundreds of residents and their families.   We also held two Neighborhood Area meetings, where neighbors get together with City Hall and Rolling Hills Community Association (RHCA) staff, as well as Fire and Sherriff representatives, to discuss issues specific to their Area.

Additionally, Karen coordinated with Courts Club and Caballeros leadership to advocate for the RHCA to order and install new gate signs. She also led the refurbishing project of the Women’s Club storage area, supported by RHCA, which included repainting, restructuring  and reorganizing the closet.

The Beautification Committee pushed home a yearlong effort to replace the worn 3-rail fence at the Main Gate. Judy Martin was a force to be reckoned with, advocating for the Rolling Hills City Council to remove the old fence and install a new one at this critical area where equestrians and other guests enter our City.

Our Angel Committee, led by Maureen Hill & Kim Rosenfield, is a circle of volunteers that offers support to the elderly, sick or grieving in our community. Our Angels touched close to 150 residents last year through in-person visits, cards, phone calls, flowers, and food deliveries.

Karen also thanked the City Council and the RHCA for their financial support. Without this critical aid many of our great ideas would not come to fruition to be enjoyed by the community. She closed by thanking the 2023 Board of Directors and Officers for their work during the year, and then passed the magic wand.  Melissa McNabb introduced the 2024 Executive Officers and installed them.

Our officers for 2024 are:
                President, Melissa McNabb
