Dinner on the Green

The Dinner on the Green that took place in June, located at the grassy area between City Hall and Association buildings, was another big success with a large turn out to kick off summer!

Musical entertainment was back with the band "A Flock of Seniors" performing for the first time at the community event.  The five band members included Rolling Hills neighbors Kelly Cook (on bass) and Richard Cook (on guitar). I found out that they were musically inclined by reading their cover story in Stroll magazine (in September 2024 issue) that mentioned that they love to play music. Thus showing how informative the publication is for the Rolling Hills neighborhood!  The band played a familiar variety of 80's cover songs that had folks dancing to their music.

The food was catered by Stonefire Grill and everyone enjoyed the savory food choices. Drinks and dessert were also provided by the Rolling Hills Association which hosts these events on behalf of the Needs of Senior committee.  This is one of many services the committee provides.

There are two more Dinner on the Green evenings scheduled before the end of summer with entertainment that will include Rolling Hills residents  Diane Montalto and City Council member Patrick Wilson.

Watch for detailed information/rsvp emails. Residents of all ages are welcome to attend. Come enjoy a casual informal visit with your neighbors.
