A Night Out on the Town!

Judith at Unfrosted premiere

Back in the day when I worked in the entertainment industry it was not uncommon for a night “Out on the Town”.  After the opening of Malibu Kitchen , a deli/ bakery in Malibu with my partner William, aka Bill, nights out were a rare occasion.

Over the years with Malibu Kitchen we became friends with the “Unfrosted” Netflix movie collaborators Jerry Seinfeld, comedian, writer, director, actor and his co-writer and producer Spike Feresten. Spike is the host of one of the top automotive-comedy podcasts in the world, Spike’s Car Radio and was also the writer of the very famous “soup nazi” episode on the Seinfeld comedy series.

We were invited to the “Unfrosted” premiere at the newly renovated Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood a few days before it debuted on Netflix (May 3). The “Unfrosted” movie is a zany star filled comedy that tells the story of rival cereal companies, Kellogg and Post, racing to create a pastry that will change the face of breakfast. We all know how that turned out!  The “Pop Tart” movie was a lot of laughs and the after party was a lot of “star studded” fun.

A nice surprise that was the “icing on the pop tart”, was In the first and last scenes that take place in the Battle Creek diner, Jerry and Spike gave a shout out to Malibu Kitchen, which they also referred to as Bills, by calling the diner Bills Diner!

And, a nice surprise for me was the owner and designer of the retail and online clothing company, Magnolia Pearl, graciously giving me a beautiful dress and jacket to wear to the premier. Feeling like “Cinderella” all evening, we did make it home by the stroke of midnight from our wonderful night “Out on the Town.
