The Adams-Hoyler Family

Hi neighbors! We’re Cameron Hoyler and Dara Adams, and we live at 3 Outrider Road with our two sons, Logan (11) and Quinn (8), and our two rescue pups, Loki and Reggie. We moved here in 2012 from San Francisco, but for Dara, it was more of a homecoming as she grew up just three doors down on Eastfield Drive, and her dad, John Lyons, still lives there today.
We first met in law school at the University of San Francisco. After graduating, we both practiced law in the Bay Area for several years before making the move to Rolling Hills. Cameron grew up in Princeton, New Jersey, and was immediately drawn to the views, open space, and quiet charm of this community. Dara, who graduated from Dartmouth with degrees in Psychology and Religious Studies, has loved returning to her hometown and now devotes much of her time to our boys and to volunteering in the local schools. Cameron, a University of Pennsylvania alum with a double major in English and Political Science, currently works as General Counsel for Meissner Corporation, a life sciences company based in Ventura County.
Our boys are busy and adventurous. Both Logan and Quinn are passionate skiers and spend as much time as possible on the slopes at Alta and Snowbird in Utah. They’re part of the Snowbird ski teams, but we especially love the days when we can all ski together as a family. Logan also plays for a FRAM soccer club team and did Junior Guards at Cabrillo Beach this year. Quinn is eager to join him next summer. Both boys enjoy playing golf at Rolling Hills Country Club, swimming, and playing chess.
At home, we love cooking and spending time together; especially during the holidays. Cameron usually handles the main course (he’s all about the proteins), and Dara covers dessert. We’ve had a few Christmas mornings that ended with the boys jumping in the pool - something Cameron definitely didn’t experience growing up in snowy New Jersey! One of our favorite family traditions is hosting Fourth of July gatherings with kids splashing in the pool, friends and neighbors laughing, and fireworks lighting up the sky all across the South Bay.
We’re also proud to be active in the community. Dara currently serves as President of both the Dapplegray Elementary PTA and Art at Your Fingertips, and she’s coached several youth soccer teams. Cameron has served on the board of Rolling Hills Little League and is on the Long Range Planning Committee at the Rolling Hills Country Club. As a family, we support several local causes, including the Peninsula Education Foundation, Dapplegray’s Booster Club, the Peninsula Land Conservancy, Friends of the Library, and Doctors Without Borders.
We love being part of this special community. Whether we’re attending the annual Rolling Hills holiday or egg hunt events, we’re always grateful for the warmth, beauty, and neighborly spirit that defines life here.
We look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood!
