Halloween Potluck

On a warm, sunny October morning, Rolling Hills residents who are tennis and pickleball enthusiasts gathered at the community courts for a Halloween-themed morning of fun, food, and friendly competition. As players trickled in, they brought not only their sense of humor but also their Halloween spirit. There was a delightful mix of people: some showed up ready to play in full costume, while others opted for their usual court gear with just a touch of Halloween flair.

For both tennis and pickleball players, the day was about more than just the games—it was about embracing the Halloween spirit. There were no trophies or intense matchups here, just lighthearted, friendly games where the emphasis was on having fun and enjoying the company of the Rolling Hills community.

The tables were decked out in spooky décor, creatively arranged by Shari and Diana. The spread was simple but perfect for the occasion: fresh bagels, cream cheese, and coffee provided by Tony, and a festive touch of orange juice with a splash of champagne for those enjoying a mimosa, courtesy of Dustin. Lynne—our Hawaiian tourist—brought coolers filled with water, sodas, and ice, while Shari and Judy contributed fruit plates for those seeking a healthy option. And, of course, no courtside event would be complete without Jessica’s famous cookies!

What made this Halloween potluck truly special was the undeniable sense of community. Some came for the tennis, others for the pickleball, and still others mostly for the food and fun. Regardless of their reasons for attending, the morning brought together players of all ages and skill levels, creating a memorable experience for everyone involved.

As the day came to a close, there were whispers of excitement about the next big event—a casino-themed holiday party that's sure to bring even more fun and festive cheer to the Courts Club and Rolling Hills community.
