Neighbor: In Memoriam
 Carla Jean Fischer Routt, a beloved Rolling Hills historian, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2022. A dedicated volunteer, equestrian, and Long Beach Mounted Police Life Member, Carla's legacy includes being the first woman to join and serve as president of the organization. Growing up in Rolling Hills, she shared tales of family adventures and equestrian competitions, leaving a lasting impact on her community. She will be dearly missed.

 

After a three-year Covid-19 hiatus, the Honbo family's 16-day Seabourn cruise to New Zealand and Australia for the holidays included exploring pristine landscapes, enjoying local cuisine, and visiting a friend in Melbourne. Eager for more adventures, they look forward to their next journey.

 

Maggie von Mittlewest, a 5-year-old German Shepherd, won hearts with her friendly nature and swimming prowess. Named after the breeder's 'M' requirement, she joined the family after the loss of their previous dog. Maggie shares a special bond with her buddy Charley, displaying an off-the-charts spoiled demeanor, bringing immense joy to her lucky family.
